My work is designed to tell a story, an overarching narrative culled from my experiences travelling, never fully rooted in any single place, but drawn instead to the journeys in between. My aesthetic process starts with the bringing together of seemingly disparate ideas into a purposeful representation of our shared experience. I am inspired by people and phrases and music, by the strange and the mundane. I strive to create pieces that are honest, nostalgic and relatable, pieces that are humorous without being frivolous, satirical without being derisive. I work in several mediums, including printmaking, photography, and paint. Much of my work is done with pen and ink, a medium perfect for travelers and the spontaneously prolific.
